On September 17, the traditional Svatohorská šalmaj took place on Svatá hora in Příbram.
Due to the engagement at Bílá Hora, we arrived in the late afternoon after prior arrangement.
Spectators were treated to a large number of traditional stalls, raptors to look at, games for children and also a really busy cultural program from music groups, through fencing and theater performances to dance stories. In addition to the Marketplace of Smiles and a selection from Ballads and Rags (accompanying the Ginevra group’s concert), Animata also presented its most epic dance story – The Red Mask, based on E.A. Poe’s story: The Mask of the Red Death. The mood was fantastic, just like last year, and we thoroughly enjoyed the dance. Monica
The camera was provided by Barbora Kadlecová, the shots were taken by Darja Sedmíková (both members of the Animata group) and I took the liberty of editing the photos myself.
